Stunting Prevention in Pangkep Regency: The Role of Intersectoral Collaboration and Public Education in Reducing Prevalence

This study examines Stunting Prevention in Pangkep Regency: The Role of Intersectoral Collaboration and Community Education in Reducing Prevalence, with a focus on factors supporting success and challenges in implementation. The primary objective of this study was to assess the effectiveness of existing interventions and identify key barriers to stunting reduction. This study used a qualitative phenomenological approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation studies involving health workers, government officials, and the community. The results indicate that community involvement, adequate budget support, and intersectoral coordination are key success factors. However, challenges such as low public awareness, suboptimal intersectoral coordination, and inefficient budget management continue to hamper the effectiveness of stunting prevention programs. This study also highlights the importance of empowering health cadres and active community participation in prevention efforts. Based on these findings, it is recommended to strengthen intersectoral collaboration, increase public awareness, and improve budget allocation to ensure the sustainability and effectiveness of stunting prevention programs in priority areas
